High up in the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen boasts a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. Relax on the beach or alternatively explore the UNESCO-listed medina with its various souks and woodcarving workshops. Any city gate leads to the Medina , so you’re unlikely to get lost. The beach is in front of the Medina and there are plenty of cafés with terraces, both ideal for relaxing for a few hours. Blue doors and window frames abound as do the artists shops – buy a carpet or Thuya wood carving or sit on the beach sipping a mint tea as the sun sets, an antidote to the bustle of the Imperial cities. Marrakech

Marrakech set against the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Its great pride and landmark is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Seville. It is said that after the third of these was completed, the sultan had the eyes of his architect put out, lest he should build another more beautiful tower elsewhere. No visit to the city is complete without a visit to the city’s UNESCO-listed medina & Djemâa-el-Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place. Overnight Marrakech. (2B)
Day 14:
Marrakech
We have a guided city tour in the morning which leaves us the afternoon free to explore the city further, relax by the pool and /or enjoy some of the optional activities. Overnight Marrakech
Day 15:
Marrakech
Your adventure tour ends after breakfast. (B)
Overall Mohamed was a friendly guide and very helpful and a friendly driver Mustafa. Long drives were made more enjoyable by having a break every 2 hours.
(Lyn – May 2017)

The key system at Hotel El Andalous needs to have a totally new system as the magnetic keys often failed to work and on two occasions our group had strangers open their doors with a duplicate key. Many hotels didn’t have an English speaking news channel.
(Martin – May 2017)

Younes was a great tour guide. He was very accommodating and did his best to answer any questions. We had a small group (3 people) which was amazing. I wish we could have spent some more time in Chefchaouen. The hotel in Marrakech could be a lot more centrally located. It may have made more sense to start this tour in Casablanca. But otherwise, a great experience.
(Julia – March 2017)

Tour guide very helpful and we all got along pretty well. The small size of the group definitely helped me enjoy the tour a lot more. Change guided tour in Marrakech to not be a Friday, skip Royal Palace in Rabat and spend time in the Medina, add a walk in Meknes. Hotel in Marrakesh is not very convenient, quite far for the Medina and the interesting part of the Ville Nouvelle.
(Eleonora – March 2017

Mohamed was a great wealth of information and gave candid, honest and insightful responses to our many questions. He and Mustapha made a great and hilarious team! Whilst fast paced and a touch too touristy in places, we loved our time in Morocco and with the guides who ensured we got a ‘local’ experience as well. Thanks guys for making it a top experience!
(Natasha – February 2017)

Very enjoyable but fast paced – slows down after Sahara and more time to relax and enjoy. Great group and tour leader/driver – wealth of information. Maybe another day in Fes? Potentially start the tour in Casablanca to reduce bus time?
(Jack – February 2017)

Maybe have some possible walks/things to do in the evening? As a solo female traveller, I was wary walking around by myself at night, especially in big cities like Casablanca and Marrakech. But overall, I loved my time here and am so glad I chose to this Nomadic Tour – made the whole trip easier and put my mind at ease.
(Anjali – February 2017)

We had a great experience on our Nomadic tour of Morocco. The tour was well paced and thought through. Every day saw something different and our guides were excellent at bringing Moroccan culture and the sights they were describing to life. Although billed only as three star the hotels were clean and well appointed. By going with Nomadic we saw much more of Morocco than we would otherwise have done and we would recommend a Nomadic tour to those who do not want to sit around on a beach but to get to know the country as well as one can in the time available. Feel that the tour of Marrakech would have been better at the beginning rather than the end.
(John & Barbara – January 2017)

Impressed with itineraries and map and distance sheets. To date, no operator has done so.
(Alice & Phillip – January 2017

The guided tour in Fes talks more about his individual opinion instead of the information of the place. Also, would be good to provide the contact number of the people who pick up from the airport in case we couldn’t find the guy.
(Shienny - December 2016)

A well-paced tour. Would have been good if I could spend more time in the Medinas.
(Vonny – December 2016)

I recommend considering doing tour counter clockwise so day 2 is in Ait Benhaddou & day 4 in Sahara, Essaouira days 11 & 12 still. I also suggest Tangier rather than doubling back on road between Fez & Chefchaouen. City tour of Marrakech needs to be slower paced.
(Janet – November 2016)

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all and the amazing team at Nomadic Tours for the fantastic trip that concluded last Sunday.
I want to thank your UK team for all the support you all provided in planning this trip and for the prompt responses through out to help me organize it. It was really a world class service.
I also want to let you all know that the tour guide Younes and driver Hamid were brilliant. They took really good care and ensured everything was done in the most perfect manner, making this trip a great one. All the group members were very pleased to have these two professionals with us on this tour. They made it more than was expected, which was an added bonus.
And last but not the least, your Morocco Encompassed itinerary is simply perfect.
Keep up the good work. 5 stars for this tour!!
(Payal – October 2016)

Younes was fantastic, good sense of humour, interacted with the group extremely well, catered to everyone’s needs, and dealt with one minor problem very well. I would recommend this tour based on the experience he gave us.
(Elizabeth – October 2016)

Thank you for a memorable trip in Morocco! Amazing places, amazing people! What a wonderful time with Nomadic.
(Jessie – October 2016)

Thank you for a memorable trip in Morocco! Amazing places, amazing people, what a wonderful time with Nomadic!
(Jessica – October 2016)

Definitely enjoyed my time in Morocco. I liked that when meals were not included, Mohamed still took us to different restaurants.
(Jessica – August 2016)

We enjoyed Mohamed’s knowledge, sense of humour, hospitality & patience. I recommend him very much for future travel. The driver was very helpful as well. Both were pleasant.
(Ann – May 2016)

I can’t say enough about the efficiency & professionalism in the tour leader Mohamed.
(Nagi – May 2016)

Mohamed was very helpful, efficient & friendly. The driver was very pleasant as well.
(Taghrid – May 2016)

With a great deal of pleasure and many, many happy memories we are very happy to write this review. Our holiday was amazing; full of so many wonderful experiences . . . all made possible by Nomadic Tour’s attention to detail.
Their itinerary was well entitled ‘Morocco Encompassed’, because it truly was! Younes, was incredible, and we will always have a special place in our hearts for him and his care of us; his gentleness, and his sense of humour. He helped to give us one of our most happy and wonderful holidays ever. In fact, we all bonded so well that the whole Group (including Younes) referred to us as ‘mum and dad’ for the duration of the Tour, and there was genuine sadness when the Tour ended, and we had to go our separate ways.
Thank you Nomadic, and thank you Younes! We can, will, and have already, highly recommended your Company, and this Tour.
(Martin & Janet – April 2016)

It was a very nice and interesting trip and I enjoyed it very much! The guide and the driver did a very good job!!
(Eva – April 2016)

I really enjoyed the stops we took whilst driving from place to place such as co-ops and to learn about the irrigation system. Younes is amazing! He made the trip great!
(Michelle – September 2015)

This was a well organised, informative and fun trip. Morocco is a beautiful country and it was fantastic to explore with such a fun group. Younes and Hassan were indispensable not only for their local knowledge (which took us to places we would have never been able to see without them) but for the way that they made every moment a joy and helped us all fully enjoy the time together. Younes really was fantastic. He went above and beyond at every opportunity and clearly loves us, his job and his country. He is a real asset to Nomadic!
(Will – September 2015)

Overall, the tour was enjoyable and great Cities with free time and a map with locations of banks of restaurants.
(Amelia – April 2015)

Younes is a guide who goes beyond his duties, he went over and above to ensure we all enjoyed our tour, not only is he a great guide, he ensured we were safe & happy even on his own time, Mohamed our driver was also exceptional, they are both to be commended.
(Suzanne – March 2015)

The tour was all that I had anticipated and more, with many highlights, intriguing and informative sites and explanations of the manufacturing procedures that we were exposed to during various city tour stops plus the inclusions that were provided by the tour itinerary. The overall tour enlightened me regarding the culture and history of Morocco and its people. Mohamed was professional while interacting with myself and the other clients on the tour and at the same time made it fun with many laughs throughout the tour. He was very approachable on any issue that arose, be it tour related or personal. He very efficiently resolved the few minor hiccups that occurred during the 15 days. His musical talents were very much appreciated during the evening while sitting around at the camp fire at the Berber camp in the Sahara. During the course of the 15 days Mohamed made us aware of the various options that were available for the particular town that we were visiting and mentioned them only once or twice, he was not pushy with trying to sell these options. This I very much appreciated and my respect for him grew as he was quite capable of assessing our group and what options they individually might be willing to partake in.
I would not hesitate to recommend Nomadic to any of my friends and would most certainly consider Nomadic for any future North African tours that I may consider.
(Bruce – January 2015)

Guide was very helpful & friendly and calm. I lost my luggage and he calmly sorted it out for me.
(Yuechong - December 2014)

Fantastic guide & itinerary & coverage of Morocco.
(Joanne - November 2014)

Mohamed is the most amazing tour guide. Love him to bits!
(Heila – September 2014)

Mohamed is an excellent guide. Ten stars!
(Dee – September 2014)

Hello. I am long overdue in sending this comment. I went to morocco with my daughter in August 2014. We were with several guests from different tour companies including yours. I wanted to commend our guide, Younes Afqir, who did an amazing job with our less-than-ideal group. He was mature, calm, kind, logical, reasonable and contributed to us having a wonderful Morocco experience. My daughter was 18 and the oldest guest was close to 70. The task of making everyone happy was not an easy one and this young man was exceptional.
(Helen – August 2014)

I had a fabulous time on the Morocco Encompassed tour -- it truly exceeded my expectations. We were bless with a great group of travellers, and Mohammed is one of the best guides I've ever had. (Mufasa is an outstanding driver, too). Thank you again -- it was a privilege to travel on such a great tour!
(Erica – June 2014)

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. I had an amazing time. Mohamed was a brilliant guide, couldn’t ask for better. I will definitely be recommending this trip to friends.
(Helen – March 2014)

I really liked the tour. It was well designed. Wonderful crew and amazing sites.
(Marina - March 2014)

Thank you Mohamed & Mohamed!! It was just amazing & both of you are really nice guys.
(Valerie – March 2014)

Thank you so much to my tour leader for going beyond his role in helping me join up with the tour late and helping me retrieve my lost luggage at the airport.
(Lucy – August 2013)

The Morocco Encompassed tour was fantastic. Morocco is an interesting destination with much to offer. Everything was well organised and our guide, Mohammed, was an absolute star. I’ll certainly recommend the tour to friends and acquaintances.
(Lesley - March 2013)

Brahim was the best tour guide I've had in 18 months of travelling.
(Quentin - Feb 2012)

Camping out in the Desert was a real highlight for me and I everyone in the group got on really well.
(Ane - Sep 2011)

We really got on as a group which I think made this tour all the better. Guides were great and camping in the Desert was an amazing experience. Thanks Nomadic!

This hotel is in a great location, there are some local shops and restaurants nearby and only 10 mins walk from the Medina. The rooms allocated to us are on the top floors so there is no noise /sound to disturb us. It has an indoor pool and on the top floor there is a terrace with lovely views over the city. Day 4:
Chefchaouen - Hotel Madrid

Moroccan hospitality at is best; friendly reception staff and Moroccan mint tea and biscuits awaits on your arrival. Each bedroom is individually decorated in a different colour, from walls to bedding. Breakfast is served in the beautiful reception area with lots of Moroccan dishes on offer. An added service, they have local costume clothing for you to try on and make pictures of…. a service that you will be charged for in town, but free to our clients. An ATM machine, is 20m down the road… Facilities; air con, sat TV, WIFI (in the reception area) www.moroccanhousehotels.com
Day 5:
Fes - Hotel Sofia
Nomadic’s view: This 4 star hotel is the latest to join our portfolio and is used on our Morocco Encompassed 15 day, Morocco Imperial City 10 day and our Morocco Highlights 8 / 9 day tours. Fes has many hotels but not many that are suitable for our tours. We have chosen this hotel for its location and facilities. The hotel is modern and all rooms have air-con- TV & WIFI The hotel has 3 restaurants and a bar should you fancy to stay in at night. Facilities; air con, TV, WIFI , restaurant & Bar (alcohol served) www.hotelsofia.ma

Day 7:
Midelt - Hotel Kasbah Asmaa
Nomadic’s view: Kasbah Asmaa is a traditional Kasbah style hotel. If you think this hotel looks impressive on the outside?.. Wait until you see the inside of the hotel; Walking through the courtyard makes for a grand entrance indeed. You do not know where to look first; the mosaic pattern tiles on the walls and pillars, the big lantern hanging from the ceiling…..the massive Moroccan carpets on the floor, the beautifully laid out seating areas or the splashing fountain in the middle of this impressive reception area…. It is a lot to take in, but luckily there is plenty of time to enjoy this space. The bedrooms are large, with air con, TV and shower / bath and separate toilet. If you are lucky you will have a view over the lovely pool but then the Atlas Mountains in the background of this hotel are not a bad view either…. The hotel is just outside town, a 5 min taxi drive. In the evening you can relax in the reception area where you can connect to WIFI or just enjoy your surroundings….it is not often that you will be staying in a place such as this. Facilities; air-con, TV, fridge, WIFI in restaurant /reception only) Restaurant & bar (alcohol served) Pool and children’s pool. www.kasbah-asmaa-midelt.com
Day 8:
Sahara - Auberge La Caravane
Nomadic’s view: A traditional Berber camp surrounded by the incredible sand dunes of the Sahara desert. The perfect spot for a Saharan sun set and sun rise. We can also sand board down the dunes, enjoy a Moroccan dinner and sleep in a large Berber tent or just put your mattress under the stars. The camp even has a flushing toilet! Enjoy this pure experience of sleeping under 1,000.000’s of stars (our highest star rated hotel)
Day 9:
Todra Gorge - Hotel Amazir
Nomadic’s view: Arriving at this hotel is a bit deceptive; it is on the road side and apart from being a nice stone building it does not look overly impressive, but the atmosphere, location and customer service are what make a hotel and this has all that in abundance. When you enter the reception area, which is quite small, there is a cosy welcoming atmosphere. Downstairs from the reception area you walk into a beautiful restaurant in true Moroccan style with large upholstered seating along the walls, mosaic tiles rising up the pillars and beautiful views over the garden and pool. Beyond that is the terrace backing on to the river and Palmerie, where we will enjoy breakfast in the morning. The rooms are a little more basic than our other hotels, but comfortable, clean and spacious. The herbs growing in the garden will be picked by our Chef before adding them to the evening’s dinner. Outside is a lovely pool surrounded by large Palm trees and the view of the gorgeous mountains. The sound of the water in the Gorge just adds to the relaxed feel this hotel creates. Facilities; air-con, WIFI (in reception area only) pool, restaurant. www.lamazir.com
Day 10:
Ait Benhaddou - La Rose Du Sable
Nomadic’s view: Another Moroccan style hotel that sits beautifully within its surroundings… This hotel is built in a Riad style with a lovely pool in the middle of the court yard. The rooms are on the first floor and you will either have a view of the pool or the stunning village of Ait Benhaddou all around you. Every piece of decoration around the pool, the corridors and reception are carefully chosen. Ait Benhaddou is a UNESCO listed village, from the hotel all you need is to walk across the road and walk toward the ancient Kasbah village, it is right in front of you. Facilities; air con, TV, Pool, Restaurant & Bar (no alcohol) WIFI. www.larosedusable.com
Day 11:
Essaouira - Hotel Miramar
Nomadic’s view: This beautiful modern, but yet contemporary style hotel is located right on the beach front and a 10 min walk away from the Medina. This is probably one of our favourite hotels across all of our tours. The hotel has a restaurant with sea views, an indoor pool and is the perfect spot to explore Essaouira from. Facilities; air con, sat TV, WIFI, balconies have sea views. www.miramaressaouira.com
